Applications

Applications are accepted at any time. The Graduate School’s selection committee meets on a regular basis to decide on applications.
 

Application Requirements

All current doctoral researchers at KIT can apply for membership in the Graduate School. Applicants are asked to provide the following documents (in either English or German):

 Application form with the choice of a mentor. A good starting point for looking for a suitable mentor is the list of our Principal Investigators
Cover Letter, briefly describing the topic of the doctoral thesis, its connection to the school’s research fields and stating the wish to join (1 page - max. 2 pages)
Curriculum Vitae

Recommendation form signed by primary supervisor and mentor

Proof of registration at Docata

Not Yet a Doctoral Researcher at KIT?

At KIT, were are always looking for new researchers that hold a master’s degree with very good grades in computer science, mechanical and electrical engineering, mathematics, psychology (preferably with a relationship to technology) or other related disciplines. Research assistants are expected to work towards their doctorate and are offered full-time positions in salary group TV-L E13 (52.000–59.000€ with 30 days of paid vacation).
