Workshop: Good Science Practice - Ethical and Legal Orientation in Everyday Research
Good Science Practice has been a topic of much discussion in recent years. In response to the DFG's Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Research Practice, KIT has identified "scientific integrity [as] the indispensable prerequisite for trustworthy science" in its Statues for Safeguarding Good Research Practice.
According to the Statues, it "is the obligation of every individual researcher to responsibly use the legally guaranteed freedom of science." To support doctoral researchers in fulfilling this obligation, the KIT Graduate School Cyber Security organizes a one-day, on-site workshop. The workshop firstly covers broader ethical and legal guidelines. Secondly, it uses real-world issues to identify possible challenges and teaches strategies to deal with them in an appropriate manner.
Registration: The workshop is free and open to all doctoral researchers in the field of cyber security. The maximum number of participants is limited to 16. Members of the Graduate School Cyber Security have prioritized access.
